| 作品解説 | 村上善男が1960年代に取り組んだのは、注射針や既製品を用いたアサンブラージュでした。本作では注射針や写真フィルム保護用の黒いロール紙、ラジオのチューニングメーター等が画面に貼り付けられています。既製品の色や形、既製品に書かれた数字や文字は造形上のエレメントとして取り入れられ、絵画的に構成されますが、その理知的な造形性とは裏腹に、凸凹した樹脂や尖った注射針が実体として、生々しい感覚を呼び起こします。化学や物理学の専門用語を引用したタイトルもまた、造形イメージを構成する部分のひとつと言えるでしょう。 村上善男 1933‐2006 盛岡市生まれ。1953年、岩手大学在学中に二科展初出品。1955年に岡本太郎に見いだされた。1960年にシェル賞受賞。この頃から、注射針を画面に固着したシリーズなど、アッサンブラージュの作品を制作。1962年に再びシェル賞を受賞、「集団α」結成。これ以降、個展やグループ展を発表の場とする。1968年から三島学園女子短期大学（現・東北生活文化大学）、1982年から弘前大学で教鞭を執った。仙台では「気象」シリーズ、弘前では「釘打ち」シリーズなど、居住地の変遷に伴い作風を変えた。 |
| Description | In the 1960s, Murakami Yoshio worked on assemblages which utilized hypodermic needles and other ready-made objects. In this piece, objects including syringe needles, black rolls of paper used to protect photographic film, and radio tuning meters are affixed to the canvas. The colors and shapes of ready-made products as well as the numbers and letters written on them have been incorporated as sculptural elements, resulting in a painterly composition. However, despite its intellectual aesthetic, the uneven resin and sharp syringe needles evoke a vivid sense of substance. The title, which quotes technical terms from chemistry and physics, may also be said to be a component of the pictorial image. |
