| 作品解説 | 赤、白など鮮やかな色の絵具が分厚く盛り上がり、まるで絵の中央からこちらへと勢いよく吹き出してくるかのよう。まさに太陽（soleil）のような、爆発的なエネルギーを放つ作品です。今井俊満は、フランス滞在中の1955年、アンフォルメル（非定形）運動を理論的に主導した評論家、ミシェル・タピエと知り合い、自身もこの運動に参加しました。1957年には、タピエや画家のサム･フランシス、ジョルジュ・マチウらとともに一時帰国し、東京と大阪で公開制作や展覧会を開催。日本国内にアンフォルメル旋風を巻き起こしました。 今井俊満 1928‐2002 京都市生まれ。1941年に上京。1948年に旧制武蔵高等学校卒業。1951年に新制作協会展で新作家賞。1952年に初個展。同年に渡仏し、以後パリに定住した。1955年、ミシェル・タピエと知り合い、アンフォルメル運動に参加。1971年以後は日本を拠点とし、1980年代には、琳派風で絢爛豪華な「花鳥風月」シリーズ、1990年代には、黒々とした画面の「ヒロシマ」シリーズや、戯画風の裸婦像を描いた「コギャル」シリーズなど、多様な表現を見せた。 |
| Description | Thick mounds of paint in vivid colors such as red and white appear to gush forth from the center of the painting with great force towards the viewer. The piece radiates an explosive energy, just like that of the sun (soleil). In 1955, while living in France, Imai Toshimitsu met Michel Tapié, a critic who was the theoretical leader of the Informalist movement, in which Imai himself became involved. In 1957, he returned to Japan temporarily with Tapié, as well as painters Sam Francis and Georges Mathieu, holding public workshops and exhibitions in Tokyo and Osaka. This created a whirlwind of Informalism in Japan. |
