概要平成4年8月30日に撮影された、京都御苑および周辺市街地の航空写真。饗宴場跡広場北西の四角の区域に確認できる樹林帯は、昭和53年に、巨木の根の保護を主な目的として、周囲に張芝や樹木植栽、防球フェンスの設置などを行った際に造成されたもの。同じく饗宴場跡広場北東の四角の区域には、昭和63年に整備されたゲートボール場が確認できる。また、饗宴場跡広場の北側苑地は、昭和60年から61年にかけて「母と子の森づくり工事」で多く植栽され、過去の航空写真と比較すると樹木が高密度となったことが見て取れる。昭和56年整備の「出水の小川」も確認することができ、自然とのふれあいを推進する施策が進められた時期であることがうかがえる。

概要（英語）This is an aerial photograph of Kyoto Gyoen and the surrounding urban area taken on August 30th, 1992. The wooded area that can be seen in the square area northwest of the Kyoenjyo Ground was developed in 1978. Similarly, in the square area northeast of the Kyoenjyo Ground, a Gateball Field that was constructed in 1988 can be seen. Additionally, much of the gardens north of the Kyoenjyo Ground were planted as part of the "Haha-to-ko-no-mori Nature-Learning Forest Park Creation Project" from 1985 to 1986, and it can be seen that the trees are now more densely planted than in previous aerial photographs. The "Demizu Stream," which was constructed in 1981, can also be seen. This indicates that this was a period when policies were being implemented to encourage contact with nature.
