Biography
Painter. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture. In 1963, graduated from Tama Art University. In 1969, began teaching at Kyushu Sangyo University. In 1978, was awarded the Grand Prize for “Conflict between Red and Lead-Gray B” in the 1st Biennal Exhibition of Kitakyushu held at our museum. From 1970, held performances and created paintings that drew the viewer’s mind to the physical act of depiction. From around 2000, he developed his works to an expression rich in color, based on the motifs of the cosmos and light. In 2003, he published “COSMIC NOSTALGIA.”
