Biography	Painter. Born in Wakayama City, and later moved to Kitakyushu City. Studied under painter Unai Sugita, while still a student at Fukuoka Prefectural Kokura High School. In 1918, he entered Tokyo University of the Arts, where he studied in professor Takeji Fujishima’s lab. In 1921, he left the university and moved to France. He entered Académie Ranson, while also studying under painter Pierre Bonnard. In 1923, he died of illness while in Paris.
