| Work Description | Vegetable Weapon is a series of portraits of women holding guns made of food, which Ozawa has traveled to various countries and regions to produce since 2001. The models choose a dish that is a regional specialty, and an ingredient of this dish is used to fashion the weapon. For this work, the three nabe (hot pot) dishes listed in the title were chosen to represent Hiroshima. Following the common practice of this project, after the photo shoot the meals were actually prepared and shared with participants and collaborators. The work represents a humorous process of disarmament carried out while communicating with others. |

| Work Description (Korean) | ‘베지터블·웨폰’은 음식으로 만들어진 총을 든 여성을 촬영하는 포트레이트 시리즈로, 2001년부터 작가가 여러 국가와 지역을 방문하며 전개해 왔습니다. 모델이 되는 여성이 지방의 요리를 고르고, 그 식재료가 소재로 이용됩니다. 이 작품에서는 히로시마를 대표하는 것으로 제목에 있는 3가지 냄비 요리가 선정되었습니다. 그리고, 사진 촬영 후에는 프로젝트의 관례로 실제 냄비 요리를 만들어서 제작에 참여, 협조한 사람들과 함께 먹었습니다. 타인과 소통하면서 진행되는, 유머러스한 무장 해제 과정이 작품화되었습니다. |
