| Explanation | In 2004 when the artist was a part of the FAAM’s artist residence program, she went to Tenjin Underground Mall and Kawabata Shopping Arcade to take pictures there and made them into this piece. Superimposing an animation made by drawings on top of the series of photographs, the artist created this film that shows the passersby who are imagining what they want to buy or thinking of something they want. The flow of time of peoples’ movement is momentarily paused to reveal their relationships with one another and the town. |
