| Explanation | Ito Ryusuke is a Sapporo based video artist. He started his career as an experimental filmmaker before presenting video installation works. "Realistic Virtuality" series is a skeleton installation which uses the devices of special effect film shooting and shows its end product in the same space. In this installation's case, a video of air fighters and a video of a video shop are projected simultaneously to suggest a possible creation of the history of war and to criticize the consistency of past and present Japanese culture which lets people indulge in fantasy. |
