| Explanation | The artist was born in Quezon, Philippines. The white part in the painting is a discarded car the artist found in Quezon City, Philippines. The car lost its original function, however it now plays a new role as a landmark. She paints the objects and places that have lost their original function such as a burnt ambulance and abandoned hospital. Ｔhe parts of the car have been revitalized in this work with plaster as if she is mourning the Chevy, and reaffirms the existence of the lost car. |
