| Explanation | Kanha Sikounnavong is originally known for his realistic landscape painting of Laos. Around the late 1990s, he started producing short educational animations with Kanthavilay who was an important painter in Laos. This work is the first animation produced in Laos. The story is based on a famous folk tale in Laos. A good orphan boy grows up by getting support from forest spirits and animals. He eventually defeats the greedy king and marries a beautiful girl in the end. |
