| Explanation | This artist was born in Comilla, Bangladesh. After staying in UK in 2002, he has become interested in Bangladesh popular culture such as film posters. In this work, the artist focuses on eyes - bleeding and shedding light from eyes or pronging eyes with a knife. These eyes just gaze at realities of the society without any actions, which represents our eyes and ourselves. The artist believes that humans who are passive observers are madmen like beasts, even though they are beautiful actresses or actors. |
