| Explanation | Utilizing a terra-cotta plate, which was a traditional material in architecture and sculpture in Bengal, the artist has consistently been creating sculptures. The image of a human being juxtaposed with vegetables and plants represents the inseparable relationship between human beings and nature. The seed expresses growth; the arch shaped form is an organic image of a vegetable, the pattern on the head on the floor is raindrops. The bump on the eyes on the head refers to an image of an ape as well as the primordial form of humans. |
