ExplanationThis picture shows "Rocket Festival", which is an important ancient festival of the Lao tribe and a mixture between native beliefs and Buddhism. It's main purpose is to worship Buddha and to pray for rain and fertility. Men and women dance around a hut that was especially built for this festival while a handmade rocket is launched to awaken the God. The artist of this painting depicts many traditional landscape paintings after studying art in Bulgaria.
