| Explanation | Min Joungki was born in Korea. The shadows of Japanese colonial rule, the partition of the Korean Peninsula, and the current situation are projected onto the woman's body like a tattoo. She stands at the door which opens to thickets. Seemingly carrying the historical tragedies of Korea on her back, she symbolizes the strength to live into the future, with the field of thickets as the departure point. |
