| Explanation | Countless strange creatures are seen spawning from a single tree. The spectacular world in which these disparate creatures all swarm and writhe together illustrates the artist’s somewhat pessimistic view of reality: “When there are thousands of thoughts or animals, the laws of nature prevail, where great thoughts absorb the small, and the strong triumph over the weak.” Tserennadmidin Tsegmed is one of Mongolia’s most celebrated artists, who experienced studying abroad in Moscow. |
