| Explanation | In Thailand an innovation in traditional paintings started in the 1970s. Surasit Saokong has played an active role in this movement since the 80s. “Serenity” portrays an empty and quiet interior of a temple. A tidily organized room emerges in the light from the other room lit by candles. In the dark side of the room, we find a brief outline of a Buddha statue. |
