| Explanation | Shanti Dave was born in Gujarat in western India. After graduating from the Maharajya Sayajirao University of Baroda, the most renowned art institution in the area, Dave was regarded as one of the leading figures in Indian abstract painting. Dave continues to work on his style of abstract painting found in “Painting No.2.” using religious icons and calligraphy unique to India. |
