| 作品解説(日本語) | 花が咲き、蝶の舞う中、犬と歩く女性の健やかな美しさが目を引きます。額にはりついた一筋の髪や上気して赤らんだ鼻が描かれ、カジュアルで親密な雰囲気が漂っています。妹に向けられた愛情深い眼差しが感じられて微笑ましい作品です。 フランスの画家ボナールは、ゴーギャンの絵画や日本美術の影響を受けた後、南仏の豊かな色彩に触発され、色彩表現の才能を開花させました。この初期作品にも、平板な色面による装飾的な構成などに、日本美術の影響が窺えます。 |
| Writing text | As the flowers bloom and the butterfly flutters around, our eye is drawn to the vibrant charm of the woman walking with her dogs. The details such as the single lock of hair clinging to her forehead and her flushed red nose imbue the painting with a casual, intimate atmosphere. It is a heartwarming piece that conveys the affection with which the artist views his younger sister. The French painter Pierre Bonnard was influenced by the paintings of Gauguin and Japanese art and subsequently prompted by the rich colors of Southern France to develop his talent for expression through color. This early work, and its use of flat color fields to create a simple but decorative composition, also hints at the inspiration he drew from the art of Japan. |
