| 作品解説(日本語) | バレリーナは、画家が28歳の時から描き始めた主題です。踊り子たちは、5人いますが、ひとりもこちらと目線が合いません。また、長椅子の脚は1本しか確認できず、奥の女性は上半身のみが表されている等、同じ空間に居るように見えますが、みる側の視線が定まることのない複雑な構成です。一場面としてではなく、そこに在る個々の人間に目が向かい認識されることで、守介が追及した、人や物がもっている存在感が表れた作品となっています。 |
| Writing text | Komoda Morisuke was 28 years old when he first chose ballerinas as a theme in his paintings. There are five dancers in this painting, but not one of them is looking in this direction. Moreover, our view of the couch is limited to just one of its legs, and the woman at the back is shown only from the shoulders down. All the people and objects appear to be in the same space, and yet the viewer is left unable to settle on a fixed perspective, resulting in a complex composition. By prompting us to look at and acknowledge each of the individuals rather than viewing the scene as a whole, the painting highlights the physical presence of people and objects that Komoda sought to explore in his works. |
