| 作品解説(日本語) | ここに描かれた壺や水差し等は、長い時を経ても変わることのない存在として、繰り返し守介の作品に登場します。それぞれに陰影があるものの、接地面には影がなく、手前の台と奥の壺と水差しでは光の当たり方が異なるなど、複数の視点が交差した不思議な構図であることが分かります。絵に描かれた壺は、手に取ることができませんが、手に取った時の重みや大きさを眼で感じられる様に、守介はものが持つ量感を表現し続けました。 |
| Writing text | The urn, pitchers, and table depicted here are images that Komoda Morisuke repeatedly used in his works to represent a presence that remains unchanged even over long periods of time. While there is shading on each of the objects, there is no shadow on the surface with which they have contact, and the table in the front and the urn and pitcher behind are each caught by the light in different ways, revealing a curious composition in which various perspectives intersect. Komoda consistently sought to convey a sense of the weight of the objects—although we cannot pick the urn up, we get a feeling for how heavy and large it would be if we did. |
