| Description of works | 【Fashionable komainu with many decorations】 This komainu features eyes with unusually large whites, and very white teeth, in addition to firm, curly fur. The facial expression is strong, resembling a lion dance mask. In contrast to the head, the body is quite slender. A three-forked coiled tail, wing-like hairs on the front legs, and a milky blue glaze applied unevenly to the body are other attributes which make this a very fashionable komainu. |
