Description of works【Fashionable komainu with many decorations】
This komainu features eyes with unusually large whites, and very white teeth, in addition to firm, curly fur. The facial expression is strong, resembling a lion dance mask. In contrast to the head, the body is quite slender. A three-forked coiled tail, wing-like hairs on the front legs, and a milky blue glaze applied unevenly to the body are other attributes which make this a very fashionable komainu.
