| Description of works | 【Oldest pattern of Ban Chiang earthenware】 At the Ban Chiang Archaeological Site in the northeastern region of Thailand, many ancient earthenware examples with geometric and spiral patterns have been excavated. For this piece, a spatula was used to incise contours of the line design, and the rest of the space was filled with combed patterns. This type of black earthenware belongs to the oldest cultural layer at the Site, suggesting that they might have been associated with the bronze ware culture that had existed there. |
