Description of works【Appreciating the rain leak marks】
This small bowl that opens outward is covered with white slip, except for the lower section. It is therefore classified as muji-hakeme (slipped pottery without brush marks). Liquids trapped under the glaze that emerged as markings are called amamori (rain leaks). Amamori on Goryeo bowls were considered a unique element of the keshiki (“landscape,” i.e., characteristics of the surface) of the pottery that adds to the charm of these bowls, which were called “amamoride” (rain leak mark ware).
