Description of works【Welcome to the world of blue】
Aigosu a type of ceramic work achieved by first glazing a clay body with white glaze, then glazing it with indigo, and finally painting it with a design using a white glaze. This particular work employed an even more complicated method, with a design painted using both white glaze and gosu (cobalt dye), after which it was glazed with a clear glaze. A pavilion is depicted in the center of the dish, surrounded by designs of mountains and water, with grasses and flowers around them on the rim of the dish.
