| Description of works | 【Ship of the desert sailing over the Silk Road】 This camel roaring with its neck raised helps us experience the magnificent scenery along the Silk Road on which the West and the East met. On its back, the camel carries silk goods to be exported to the West Regions with an animal mask placed over them as a safe travel charm. Camels move forward with the front and back legs of one side in tandem, which helps its gait to be less bouncy. This masterpiece shows that the artist observed the real camel quite carefully. |
