Description of works【Blue shadows float on the surface】
Qingbai (blue and white) porcelain was first made by the Jingdezhen Kilns in China. Patterns are carved on the body and the grooves are then filled with glaze, creating the appearance of shadows on the surface, which is why this type of pottery is called inchin (Chinese: yingqing, “shadow in blue”).
