Description of works【The fashions of maids who lived 2000 years ago】
Figurines called yo (Chinese: yong) are vividly-colored funerary objects entombed to attend their master in the afterlife. This female figurine has her hair center-parted and tied in the back. This hairdo is a valuable record for understanding the fashions of that time. Although originally vividly colored, much of the coloring has flaked off and only traces remain.
