Description of works【Originally tableware】
Ki-zeto (yellow Seto ware) is one of the ceramic styles representative of the Momoyama period. This shallow hanzutsunari (half-cylinder shape) tea bowl has a large but short, perfectly circular kodai (foot) with a flat mikomi (interior), suggesting that it was a piece of tableware before it was used as a tea bowl.
A lovely flower pattern is engraved on the side and the body is accentuated by a raised clay band.
