| 作品解説 | この作品は町がひっくり返っている。 鉄でできた町は、錆ながら時の記憶を刻んでいく。ステンレスでできた鏡面は、明日になっても1年経っても常にその時の現在(いま)を映し出す。時間が経つにつれ、2つの境界は鮮明になっていく。 今回はステンレス部分を水の流れに見立てており、ミュージアム側から見るとそのまま鏡のように映り込み、湖側から見ると水面のように見える仕組みになっている。 これからこの作品に季節のうつろいや、綺麗な青空や、人々の笑顔や、たくさんのよいことが映り込むことを願う。 In this sculpture the town has been turned upside down. The town buildings made of iron, become a record of the time that has passed, as they rust. The mirror, made of stainless steel, always reflects the present time, be it tomorrow or one year from now. As time passed, the boundaries between the two sections become more distinct. For this work, I used stainless steel to represent flowing water. When you look at the work from the museum, it reflects like a mirror, and when you look at the work from the lakeside, it looks like the surface of the water. I hope that this work reflects the changing beauty of the seasons, the beautiful blue sky, people's smiles, and many other good things. |
