| 作品解説 | 彫刻は空間芸術でありながら、空間には直接手出しが難しい。手品師の如く、何もない空間から鳩を飛び立たせる、そんな芸当を出来たらと。 さて作品はパイプを副次的素材として考えることよって、内包する空間にも境界が発生。その境界面がずれることによって、空間が分離したような錯覚。 空間を餅とするなら、回転する赤餅をくるむような白餅を想像してください。境界面をつくることが出来れば、空間にも形は発生します。この作品での収穫は空間を操作できる、その手掛りを見つけたことです。 Air space manipulation induced by finding every shape that can be possibly found in a simple geometry of cylindrical tubing. As it may seem complex the lines are found infinitely, by simply binding one unit slicing it to make a whole. Circular Slip induces a sense of a traditional sanctuary border. With no hesitation of dawning technology, truly having faith in his own work, he created a curious maze for the eyes. |
