| 作品解説 | 【作者コメント】世界各地を旅しながら、大地と結びついた彫刻について考えている。以前、アメリカにあるアリゾナの砂漠に一週間滞在した。灼熱の太陽に照らされた、ごつごつした真っ赤な大地が今も目に焼き付いている。今回の作品は、その記憶を具現化したいと思って制作した。赤い大地を地球から四角に切り取り、三つの黒い石の上に積み上げる。大地を支えながら重力に抗して立ち上がる姿に、地球の持つ根源的な「生のエネルギー」を感じている。 The travel of life, the ties of land, spurs creation. In the Arizona desert beaten by the great sun, the bulk of the red land burned into my eyes. Cutting the four surfaces of rock inspired by my stay in the desert, rests on three black rocks. The land supports the gravity of vision to stand, defying proudly the natural energy of earth. |
