Comment | Short necked jar with two small handles on the shoulder of egg shaped body with pointed base. The motifs of lotus corolla on the shoulder and the feathers of arrows on the upper part of body are popular in Assyrian region in this period. It suggest that this vessel was manufactured in the region with the strong influence of Assyria. The surface color is beautiful blue and the shape is lovely but it cannot stand alone. It was probably hanged through a string in the handle or put on a pedestal. |
