TitleHaruyamanokasumiotoko, Akiyamanoshitabiotoko
テキスト内容A pair of sibling kami who appear in the middle chapters of Kojiki. The elder brother Akiyama no Shitabiotoko ("fall-mountain-ruddy-man") wagered with his younger brother Haruyama no Kasumiotoko ("spring-mountain-mist-man") as to whether the latter could win the hand of the maiden Izushiotome no kami. With the aid of his mother, the younger brother succeeded in wooing the maiden, but the elder brother refused to pay the promised wager. The younger brother appealed to his mother, who placed a curse on the older brother, as the result of which the elder brother suffered a withering disease. After eight years of torment, he was restored to health by his mother.
