| Concept | 不安や葛藤を抱えながらも、どうにか掘り進めよう、出口に辿り着こう。 もがき、のたうち回り、体をうねらせ、力を振り絞り岩盤に立ち向かう。 激しくぶつかり、重なり、ねじれ、穴が空き、流れ込み、垂れる。 エネルギーは永遠に流れ続ける…。 海底炭鉱、秋芳洞。 穴は在るが、掘った者(人、水)の姿はそこにない。 しかし壁に掘った者の痕跡が生々しく刻まれているようで、心が震えた。 ならばその存在を私なりに掴み取りたい。 私は壁肌から感じるままに身体を即興的に動かし想像する。 自らの人生も重ね、掘ることは生きることだと実感し、この形を生み出した。 宇部の海岸で地元の方々と拾い集めた流木を用い、宇部・山口に半年間滞在し制作した。 Digging to reach the exit, even with anxiety and conflict. Struggling, writhing, wriggling one’s body and put forth all one’s strength to face the bedrock. Crash, overlap, distort, twist, hole, gush in, and drip down. The energy continues to flow eternally... Undersea coal mines, Akiyoshi Cave - the hole exists, but the sculptor (people and water) who excavated is absent. Nevertheless, the traces of sculptor’s energy seemed to be vividly engraved on the wall, and it deeply touched my heart. Therefore, I would like to grasp their presence in my own way. I extemporary move my body what my feel from the skin of the wall and get the imagination. Overlapping it with my own life in the exploring my expression and realizing that digging (exploring) is living, I created this form. Using driftwood I collected with the local people on the beaches of Ube, I created the work during my stay in Ube, Yamaguchi, for half a year. |
