| Concept | 作品コンセプト タンクなどに使用されるステンレス製の鏡板にグラインダーの刃を縦にし、中心を目指して削っていく。 鉄工所の片隅に、使われなかった鋼材が埃をかぶって置かれていた。私は、スクラップということを知り、譲ってもらった。 暫くの期間、このスクラップを眺めていた。過去、現在、未来の様々な風景が見えてきた。しかし、はっきりとした答えは見えてこない。 グラインダーで線を刻み続けた。 確かなものがわからない。 「時間と場所」の変わりゆく姿を感じながら、中心を探し、外から内へ線を刻んでいった。 Concept I took a stainless steel panel used for making tanks and grinded it vertically towards the center. In the corner of a steel factory lay a bunch of scrap steel covered in dust. I knew it was scrap and asked to have it. I stared at it for a while. I saw various scenes from the past, present and future. But there were no clear answers. I continued etching lines with the grinder. I can't think of anything certain. Feeling changes in time and place, I searched for the center and etched lines inwards from the outer edge. |
