The sculptor has been presenting the unique power of stones (material), and the traces of time and history embedded in them, by breaking huge rocks and then putting the pieces together to restore the original shapes. In this work, he showcases the two states of the rock as in its freshly cut-out, original state, and as in a process of being broken and crumbling apart. By contrasting the two states, the sculptor attempts to express the tacit message within the rock. |
