Since 1980s, the artist has established a unique presence in the circle of figurative sculptors. He worked on “Don Quixote Series” by beating and welding brass and iron. The roughness of the planer configuration and fine details coexist in striking contrasts to effectively highlight the theme of this humorous tragicomedy. Many of his other works under the same theme feature the knight with a donkey. The sculptor has been so enthralled by the story that he followed the trail of the knight and his servant. This episode is very characteristic of how the sculptor pursues his theme.
